During this 2020 quarantine, I have managed to use the time that I used to wish for to do some of the things that I wanted to do in the past, but never had the time to, and it has been so amazing. I realized a long time ago that every season serves a purpose. What we consider to be a slow season, like now, when much isn't happening outwardly, is to be used to prepare for the seasons ahead that are going to utilize the foundations built in the slow or quiet season. While the tasks can seem daunting and overwhelming initially to make a list of the things you want to accomplish and cross them off, the goal is to get going doing whatever it takes to accomplish the smaller goals on a day by day basis. Everything starts with baby steps.
My initial Quarantine list included listening to the bible from start to finish, building my website, editing a series of children's books that I wrote, getting back to blogging and making my site sufficient for online sales which is the direction that I would like to go in to attain revenue in the future, learning guitar, learning Spanish, and consistently practicing singing. It's only been two months and I've managed to chip away daily at my list and I have completed listening to the bible from start to finish, I am ninety-five percent finished with editing my books, I am ninety-five percent finished with setting up my website, I have obviously started back blogging, I am making huge strides in becoming fluent in Spanish in about another month, I just started my guitar lessons via YouTube this week, and I have started singing in the car developing my voice on my daily commute. As I continue to take baby steps to accomplish the bigger picture, if time permits, I'm sure that I will add more to the list and get even more accomplished in this time that I refuse to look at as and treat idol. Going forward, I challenge you to make a list and take baby steps, one after another, and watch your list of accomplishments grow.
Be blessed and stay encouraged. I love you.
If you would like to show support during these changing times the love would be greatly appreciated.
